Somewhat dark yet interesting wip shoot of Australian Lizard and Orchids with fan, crickets, Reidys cough. My nephew and I have been head cold buds for the last two weeks, so I'm looking forward to feeling less cold blooded like these two scaly friends. I think they might be in love ❤️☺🌷💕

Fellow artists please read and consider your position. Excerpt taken from Media Entertainment and Arts Alliance's letter to Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and Minister for Immigration and Border Protection Peter Dutton to request that three of the detainees on Manus Island be allowed to live with the mainland community while their long awaited visa applications are processed. There is an opportunity to sign a petition at the end of the letter on the website link: https://www.meaa.org/campaigns/bring-them-here/ please consider signing to lend your voice to those who have had theirs taken away. 🙏💕

Pangolin Dreaming in progress. Yes Pangolins. They are real and wonderful and sadly many of the species of Pangolin are endangered.

Paintin' Pangolins. So my sister told me about this truly wonderful little friend not so long ago. Yes they are real. And sadly they are endangered. As with all of my wildlife illustrations, when this little fella is ready for print sale 10% of her proceeds will go to a cause that endeavours to save them from extinction.

Throwback alert. That's right. Detail wip of Golden Lion Tamarin from #endangeredspeciesofpanama series, with truck possibly beeping in background.

Northward, thoughts from Tim Winton's "The Weathermakers". The southern population of the Edith's Checkerspot Butterfly has been threatened by the development of the city of San Diego causing a disruption in its northward flight path to a suitable habitat. Rising temperatures due to global warming also affect its host plants life cycle, the plant wilting before the pupae have a chance to feed on it.

Wip "Northward". Further thoughts on Tim Flannery's "The Weathermakers". A butterfly and host plant's cycles that have become out of sync due to global warming. My goodness all those botanical illustrators out there: my hat is off to you! I have always wished I had more patience and the ability to keep my page clean. 🦋🐛🦋
