When hubby craves homemade hummus, hubby gets homemade hummus with a whole lot of VEGGIES 🌶🥕🥒🌶🥕🥒🥕🌶🥒 I obviously don't shy away from veggies... Without them the meal is incomplete. Eating fresh vegetables have been proven to help increase metabolic activity, lower cholesterol, and decrease risk of heart disease. They are beneficial and tasty!! A win, win for everyone So on that note, here's a recipe that pairs well with all the delicious veggies.
2 1/2 cup chickpea (garbanzo beans)
2/3 cup tahini (sesame paste)
4 garlic clove
4 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 ground cumin
Dash ground pepper
Water (~ 1/2 cup)
In large processor, add chickpeas and blend until smooth. Add in tahini, garlic, lemon juice, and seasoning. As it processes add in olive oil until hummus is smooth. Add in water to loosen up the hummus. Do not need to add all of it, depends on how thick you want it. Top hummus with olive oil, fresh ground pepper, paprika, and oregano. Enjoy with veggies
*if you want hummus to be spicy, add in 2 tbsp Sriracha.
